Decorative figurine made of turned wood and steel elements. The wood of the body is manually processed and oiled. The natural grain of the figure is emphasized by wax made of natural ingredients. The head of the Tern is painted black. The decorative figurine is reminiscent of a tern that perches on a breakwater off the Baltic coast – an element of Doki’s identity. Will you find them all?
The textile industry generates an unimaginable amount of pollution and waste that is becoming more visible and troublesome in today’s world. This problem inspired the Tartaruga studio. This is why the Wasteworld project was born – a collection of hand-woven rugs and home textiles made with over 90% of wool yarns left over from mass production of carpets. Due to the low weight of the individual reels, they cannot be used in industry. Nevertheless, they still have excellent mechanical properties and are an ideal raw material for hand weaving.
The irregular amorphous forms of the Bouli sofa were created to surprise the users of the space with a new, unconventional form of waiting. Julia Pawlikowska, Olga Mężyńska, Urszula Burgieł (born 1988) are students (now graduates) of the University of Arts in Poznań, they took part in the 10th edition of the Education and Design Program (PE-P). As a result of cooperation within the project of the university and the Noti company, two furniture collections were created and implemented – Bouli and Cubber.

The German designer Basse Stittgen has created a collection of dishes made of eggs. The eggs he uses are donated by bakeries that no longer need them and would otherwise end up in the garbage can. The material is produced in the process of drying and grinding proteins, which are then mixed with crushed shells. The inspiration is the symbolism of eggs, which on the one hand symbolize life, and on the other cheap consumerism.

In the armchair, you can rest in the home jungle, take a nap, dream, read books, watch your favorite series, work on a laptop or sunbathe. The fabric used in the project is environmentally friendly. The armchair has been designed for easy storage and transport – it can be disassembled, and the fabric can be thrown into the washing machine and refreshed.

The cuddle is a vase in which you can immerse yourself and relax. It was formed naturally by imprinting the body in plastic clay. Design by a graduate of the Academy of Art in Szczecin, majoring in design.
This original and comfortable chair is also an unusual sculptural object. To create it, the artist was inspired by sand dunes, gentle arches and the impression of movement caused by ever-flowing sand. Transferred to the field of applied art, they resulted in an extremely interesting and decorative object that will give a unique character to any space. The Dune chair is made of birch plywood, hand carved and finished with oil.

The pottery from Höganäs is the quintessence of southern Swedishness – practical, minimalist and a bit clunky. Collaboration with Kristina Stark has resulted in functional ceramics inspired by Saturn’s rings. The mugs are made of thick ceramics and covered with semi-matt glaze. The rubber hoops are not only a contrasting decoration, but also a functional protection against heat and drops.

PIN is an ecological furniture system intended for people who often change their place of residence. Low weight, as well as intuitive assembly and disassembly make it easy to pack and transport in a passenger car. The furniture is made of environmentally friendly, cheap and easily available materials – pine wood and pig iron. The project qualified for the finals of the Młodzi na Start, Elle Decoration 2019 competition.
